SPOTLIGHT INSTALLATION
At Fishers Landscape Lighting, we are here to help our customers choose the right lighting sources for their outside needs in Fishers, Indiana. There are many options that you can choose from and many of our customers are starting to favor spotlights to give a unique look!
How Does a Spotlight Work? If you are considering a spotlight, you may have some questions on how it will work. The lens of this type of light is able to direct all the light from the source over to a focused and single path. Depending on the type of the spotlight, you may be able to adjust the lens, which helps you choose how strong the light will be in the direction that you pick. What is Better: Flood or Spotlights? There are two types of light patterns that we are able to use and these include floodlights and spotlights. These are similar but will talk about how the light is projected in your home. For example, a spotlight is going to have a beam that is narrow and set up to be at 45 degrees. This gives a concentrated light beam that is much easier for you to control and put exactly where you would like in your home. |
On the other hand, you may choose a floodlight. This has a light beam that can take up 120 degrees. This is helpful because it will allow a larger space to get illuminated with the same type of wattage and output as the spotlight. If you need to work on just a small area, then the spotlight is the best option. If you want to do a larger area, then the floodlight is better.
What is a Follow Spotlight?
We have helped many of our customers install follow spotlights in their yard as well. This is basically a powerful lighting instrument that will project a really bright beam of light into one area. This helps to illuminate one area of the yard and can make it easier to see in that area. These are often really bright and we often recommend that they are turned into motion sensors so the brightness doesn’t get too much during the night.
What is Monopoint Lighting?
Another option that you can choose for your outdoor lighting is monopoint lighting. This is basically just a single light fixture that will be suspended from a single point canopy. These pendant lights are suspended from a track that our professionals are able to attach to the ceiling. They work in a similar way that the spotlight will, but they are often not quite as bright.
At Fishers Landscape Lighting, we are here to help you choose the right lighting for all of your outdoor lighting needs.
